Pantone® Connect ↗

Role: Product Design Lead
Platform: Web & Mobile
Area: SaaS, Creative Tools

Pantone® Connect is Pantone’s official digital platform for color design, built to streamline creative workflows across digital and physical environments. As the lead product designer, I was responsible for the full redesign and expansion of the platform, covering product strategy to interface design and visual systems. This included a complete overhaul of the UI and a custom icon system that unified the brand across mobile and web.

Despite being the gold standard in color, Pantone’s digital tools fell short of user expectations. The original experience was clunky, visually outdated, and inconsistent across platforms. Designers often relied on workarounds or third-party apps, which made it harder for Pantone to remain essential in daily creative workflows.

The challenge I set out to solve was to rebuild Pantone Connect into a cohesive, modern product that felt intuitive, expressive, and indispensable to creative professionals.

While exact metrics remain proprietary to the client, post-launch feedback pointed to increased engagement with core tools such as palette building and color conversion, along with high satisfaction from both internal teams and external creative professionals.

If you're curious to dive deeper into this case study, let’s connect.

University of Minnesota KDI Canopy ↗

Role: Product Design Lead
Platform: Web & Mobile
Area: Education Technology

Canopy is a publishing platform developed with the University of Minnesota’s Kusske Design Initiative (KDI), an interdisciplinary program focused on advancing design education and research. The platform was designed to support open-ended collaboration. It allows students and faculty to publish work, comment on others’ projects, and link ideas across disciplines, much like adding footnotes in a shared academic space.

I led the design of the entire UI system, including information architecture, interaction patterns, and visual components in collaboration with the branding team at View Source. I also conducted user research with students in the KDI program to better understand their workflows and goals.

The core challenge was designing a platform that could function both as a collaborative classroom tool and a self-publishing portfolio. It needed to be expressive, flexible, and intuitive, supporting everything from student projects to longform research. If interested in the full workflow or decision-making behind Canopy, please reach out.

Arrow IA ↗

Role: Product Design Lead
Platform: Web
Area: Financial Technology

Arrow IA provides software for managing thousands of structured investment portfolios at scale. I led the design of their core platform, focusing on reducing manual complexity and improving speed in decision-making.

Early on, I saw how portfolio managers were manually juggling thousands of CUSIPs without a clear system for identifying which ones needed attention. I worked closely with engineering team to design a tiered alert system that flagged constraint violations and surfaced exactly which holdings were causing them, plus whether the same CUSIP impacted other portfolios. PMs can now go from alert to action in minutes.

Another key area of focus was the "Build" experience, where users construct structured investment products and generate proprietary analytics. Before the redesign, inputs and outputs were spread across multiple screens, which slowed decision-making and increased the chance of errors. I introduced a side-by-side comparison view that aligned with how portfolio managers typically evaluate multiple scenarios.

This project is currently in development, so the case study is not publicly available. Let’s talk more in-depth.
